Thangavilas Inn Budget Hotel Kumbakonam

Thangavilas Inn Hotel in Kumbakonam is a budget hotel and the online rates are worth the deal.

The hotel has an ample parking facility and the rooms are excellent when compared with the price it was offered.

Make My Trip Deal was Rs. 1200 per room per day. What is interesting is the rooms were much better than the King Paradise Hotel in Trichy and the rates were little less.

The traditional south Indian food in this hotel is worth a try. They also make excellent north Indian dishes like paneer and mushroom items.

There is ample space for vehicle parking. Mini-vans can also get in easily.

Restaurant

It is a full meal plat, which unlimited. At Rs. 140, you can keep on eating. I got full only with these items and little bit of rice.

Thangavilas Inn Rooms

We did inform that we were family and even after seeing us, we were given rooms with cots separated. We had to join the cots to accommodate our little one.

Furniture

The rooms were very spacious with wooden furniture. In the  below photographs, check out the the large window which offered a good view of nearby areas. Packaged water was complimentary.

Wash Room

This hotel is good for a day's stay. We were on a pilgrimage tour so this booking came in handy. In-room service is available and the staffs were friendly (normal). The food seems to be good but no Wow factor. Kumbakonam city is also famous for its coffee. Instead of trying food here, we could have actually ventured out for a notable restaurant.

The cots in the room were separated. We were a family of three with a small child. Though the cots were joined, it was very disturbing the entire night. The receptionist could have arranged for a different room.

Well, if you are looking for a budget hotel in Kumbakonam city, you may consider Thangavilas Inn
