Republic Day Special Flower Show
|Floral replica of Gustav Hermann Krumbiegel's house in Germany|
The Republic Day special flower show in Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore, started since 16th January 2016. This season’s flower show was dedicated to Gustav Hermann Krumbiegel, a German landscape artist of the garden. The flower show will end on 26th January 2016.

The theme of the flower show was Mr. Krumbiegel’s ancestral home in Germany. Some 2.5 lakh different varieties of flowers were used to build the floral replica of Mr. Krumbiegel’s house inside the Glass House. Another attraction was the statue of a women decked with flowers.

There was uncontrollable crowd last Sunday. The guards had a tough time controlling the crowd. Without doubt, every visitor to the flower show would have taken a selfie.

There were lots of photographers with DSLRs. It would have been a treat for them to capture those beautiful flowers which are actually rare outside the garden.

For those who want to visit the flower show, the entry fee for adult is Rs. 50 during the weekdays and Rs. 60 during weekends and holidays. Rs. 10 for children on all days. School children enter free during the Republic Day.

You may be directed to park your vehicle in the BMTC bus stand’s multilevel parking nearby. But there is a private place with parking facility next the Lalbagh Garden, near the hopcoms.
